A team of cops who took part in the three peaks challenge have presented their chosen charity with a cheque for more than £1,000.
The team from Derbyshire Constabulary’s OzBox carried out the 28 mile feat in October to raise money for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.
They presented a cheque for £1,142 to the hospice on Thursday, November 14. The money raised will help facilitate a new bereavement and counselling room at the hospice in North Anston, Sheffield. OzBox coach, PC Lee Oldham organised the hike after visiting the hospice.
He said: “We went to Bluebell Wood Hospice to see how we could raise funds and find out what those funds could be used for. The impact of seeing the facilities and work being carried out to help these brave kids fighting their own battles for life was truly remarkable.”
