PSAEW President Comments on Death of Paul McKeever
Friday, 18 January, 2013
Following the sudden death of Paul McKeever, former Chair of the Police Federation of England and Wales, Derek Barnett, President of the Police Superintendents' Association of England and Wales said:
"I am deeply saddened to learn of the untimely death of Paul McKeever. I had the privilege of working with him for several years in his capacity of Chairman of the Police Federation of England and Wales. He was exceptionally intelligent and articulate and a man of great integrity. He was a fine police officer and outstanding leader of the Police Federation through some of the most demanding times in policing.
Having committed a significant part of his life to the police service, and the Police Federation in particular, it is a tragedy that he and his family have been denied his well deserved retirement.
I extend my deepest sympathies to his family, colleagues and friends my prayers will be with them. He will be much missed."
