Recognition of TRACKER's superior security and crime prevention benefits
Stolen Vehicle Recovery (SVR) expert, TRACKER, has renewed its membership of the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) Secured by Design (SBD) initiative, which recognises the highest quality security products and crime prevention projects. Secured by Design is a mark of quality and guarantees that TRACKER's SVR products have been tested and certified by Thatcham, as well as meeting strict police guidelines.
Secured by Design was established in 1989 by ACPO and operates a licensing scheme that requires rigorous testing before a product is approved. TRACKER joins around 350 members who all demonstrate a high standard of design and security. As a member, TRACKER displays the Secured by Design logo and has passed police tests to earn the Police Preferred Specification, ensuring its customers can buy with confidence, knowing they are getting the best level of protection for their vehicles.
"To date, TRACKER has recovered over £455 million worth of vehicles, showing how effective a TRACKER unit can be at recovering stolen vehicles. Now with the renewal of our SBD membership, we are clearly showing the security benefits TRACKER brings consumers and fleet owners alike," says Stephen Doran, Managing Director of TRACKER. "TRACKER customers will be able to see the Secured by Design logo, alongside our Thatcham accreditation, as a clear display of the quality and effectiveness of our vehicle security and recovery products."
Patrick Cogan of ACPO concludes, "TRACKER's suite of products continue to deliver the highest level of security and protection from theft. All stolen vehicle tracking systems have to meet strict police guidelines and technology requirements to be approved for SBD, which only goes to the best crime prevention products. TRACKER delivers a robust tracking system that takes real steps to close the net on vehicle thieves."
