Trek Kilimanjaro in 2011

Thursday, 23 September, 2010

Climbing Kilimanjaro will push your body to the limit. After four days of hard trekking you make the final push for the summit, starting at midnight and reaching the top just in time for sunrise. At 5895 metres you will be standing on top of the highest peak in Africa!

Join the Scope team in 2011 for a life-changing experience. This challenging trek takes us along the beautiful Machame Route that approaches Kilimanjaro from the south, through dense tropical rainforest all the way up to the mighty snow-capped summit, for simply breathtaking views over the African plains.

As well as returning home with everlasting memories of spectacular scenery and a physical challenge, you will have raised much needed funds for Scope's work with disabled people.

There are lots of dates for you to choose from:

03 - 06 March 2011
16 - 25 June 2011 TBC
13 - 22 October 2011
26 January - 13 February 2012

There is a minimum sponsorship of £3,350. Scope's experienced fundraising staff are on hand to help you every step of the way to raise the money. You can choose to fundraise the full amount, pay it yourself or do a bit of both.

"Words can't describe what it is like to stand on the 'Roof of Africa'. You have got to see it for yourself."
Stephen, Scope trekker
