One of the best

Last month, Dorset Police won a prestigious national award for being one of the top public sector organisations
to work for.

At an awards ceremony held in London the Force were confirmed as one of the top 75 organisations to work for in the public
sector across the UK - with over 200 public sector organisations entered
in the process. The Best Companies organisation co-ordinates these awards in conjunction with the Sunday Times and they are open to all organisations.

Graham Smith, Dorset Police's Director of Human Resources, said: "We are delighted
to have been named as one of the top 75 public sector organisations to work
for in the UK. Dorset Police is a large and complex employer that works in a challenging front line environment,
so to have received this award is a great achievement."

The award was judged on the basis of results from a survey sent randomly to
over 1,400 members of Dorset Police staff.
