Wales Air Ambulance (WAA) joined event sponsors and the Dyfed-Powys Police organizing team to celebrate the successful WAAT 4 Challenge Endurance race and collect a cheque for £20,952.

The presentation took place at the Brecon Castle Hotel, which also hosted the award ceremony after the race.

Following a presentation of the route, which included some impressive images of the participants and breathtaking scenery from around the Brecon Beacons, WAA Fundraising Manager Rhodri Davies thanked Dyfed-Powys Police for its hard work, which ultimately went towards helping the service assist people in need and save lives.

Dyfed-Powys Police Divisional Training Officer and WAAT 4 organiser Gary Philpott said: "Today was a culmination of the excellent effort placed into this event by everyone involved. I would like to thank the sponsors, the participants and the all the volunteers from Dyfed-Powys Police service. Next years' event is already being organised and we will enable more teams to take part to ensure WAAT 4 2010 will be even bigger and better."
