Police History Society AGM and Conference 2016

The Police History Society AGM and Conference 2016 will be held at the Imperial Hotel, Parkhill Road, Torquay, Devon TQ1 2DG (T 01803 294301) from Friday 16 September to Sunday 18 September

This four star hotel is well placed with a superb sea view and central for many other places of interest. Nearby is Agatha Christie’s house, a heritage railway and river boat trips. The conference is open to both members and non-members of the Society. The hotel is just over 2km from the rail station and 35km from Exeter airport

The cost will be £249 (single) and £344 (couples), which includes the Friday evening dinner, Saturday breakfast, a buffet lunch, the Conference Dinner and Sunday breakfast. For day rates, with or without the Conference Dinner, please contact me at the e-mail below

The hotel will be providing dedicated Conference facilities, including a dining area for conference delegates. There will also be our usual delegates’ sales tables. Saturday morning will start with our AGM followed by a host of speakers

After dinner on Friday, Lindsay Siviterwill tell us about Lord Lucan – an enduring mystery. As usual, we hope to host a senior police officer of the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary at the Conference Dinner. We also hope that the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary Historic Collections display van will be on site for you to visit, and on Sunday morning there are numerous attractions in the local area to explore
