Ride 2 Remember team on Tower Bridge, London

A team of seventeen officers from Leicester Constabulary set off on a charity cycle on Friday 11th May from the memorial to Police Constables Bryan Moore and Andy Munn who lost their lives in 2002 while trying to stop a driver on the A42.

The Ride 2 Remember team then cycled four hundred miles to the police memorial in Paris arriving on Monday 14th May, raising money for the Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA). One of the cyclists, Detective Inspector Mark Parish said: "The trip went very very well and it was absolutely brilliant. We were nervous about the traffic in Paris but when we got to the Arc de Triomphe the roads seem to open up for us and we were able to cycle together to the end of our journey - the French National Police Memorial on the Champs Elysees. There were lots of jokes about certain people's map reading skills! "The trip really was a fitting tribute to Bryan and Andy."
