"The 2012 BPCC side sponsored by G4S has been announced for the forthcoming Tour at the end of May. The side will led by newly appointed Captain Steve Greig (Met) who has been promoted to the role following the late unavailability of Mark Davies. He will be supported by a new Vice Captain, Gareth Morris (Staffs) who is one of 7 new players selected for the main Tour, the others being James Ellis (Lancs), David Jackson (Essex), David Morrell (GMP), Peter Barnett (Cheshire), Duncan Midgley (N. Wales), Ted Roe (Wilts) and Dan Turner (Met). All these players have been selected following their performances during the 2011 July Tour. Due to the Olympics this will be the only Tour undertaken by BPCC in 2012 but in future years the plan is to revert to 2 Tours which began in 2010.This is the beginning of a new era following the retirements of Graham Shaw (Cleveland), Simon Young (Met) and David Fraser-Darling (Notts).

Secretary David Fraser-Darling said "Graham, Simon and I will still be part of the Tour acting in a managerial role to assist the new leadership and trying to pass on our years of experience to the younger generation who will hopefully be part of BPCC for the next decade"
