Andrea McHugh, currently Head of Environment with City of Edinburgh Council, will take up her new post in the
early summer as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Scottish Police Services
Authority (SPSA).

Andrea McHugh said: "I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to lead SPSA into this next phase of its development. I
know I join an organisation brimming with experienced, skilled professionals. My commitment will be to make sure we have the right structure, systems and processes in place to harness their talents and direct them where they can add most value."

SPSA Convener Vic Emery added: "I believe that having someone with such a clear focus on performance at the helm of SPSA will give our customers in policing a clear signal of our determination to improve services for them."
