LOCK UP A GREAT DEAL ON A BRAND NEW HOME

WHEN it comes to giving homebuyers what they want Redrow doesn't miss a beat - with special deals available for serving police officers.

With recent reports suggesting house prices are beginning to stabilise it would be a crime not to take advantage of Redrow's offer to carpet your entire home free of charge, in addition to a range of incentives available locally.

It applies to all Redrow homes in Scotland, from contemporary apartments in Edinburgh and Glasgow, to stylish family housing in Dunfermline, Prestonpans, Glenboig, Lanark and Braehead, or luxury detached villas in the rural village of Aberuthven, near Auchterarder.

Buyers who have been waiting for the market to bottom out may be interested in a recent survey by Nationwide, which found that house prices rose for the third consecutive month in July. This trend has also led the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) to revise its house price predictions for 2009, with its August update now forecasting that prices at the end of the year will be higher than last year, and not drop 10% as previously predicted.

It's all great news for police officers looking to invest in a high quality new build property. They just need to present their warrant card when enquiring at their chosen Redrow development to be entitled to free carpets throughout their new home.

Sales director Diana Newton says: "With such a wide variety of properties to choose from, everyone from first time buyers to families, empty nesters and investors is sure to find their ideal home. We'll help them every step of the way, with advice on hand from independent financial advisors and our dedicated Redrow sales team, plus a choice of tailored incentives* to make owning a brand new home easier and more affordable".

Some two-bedroom apartments at Optima, in Ferry Road, Edinburgh, may be bought for an initial outlay of just £94,721 thanks to 'easi:buy', which allows purchasers to defer 25% of the initial cost for up to 10 years, with no interest or rent to pay on the outstanding balance.

Easi:buy is also available on selected apartments and two-bedroom houses at Riverside Point, in Braehead.

A limited number of the properties at Optima may also be available through the Government's new 'lift' scheme. This is a 60-80% shared equity deal aimed at helping people on low to moderate incomes, who want to own their home but cannot afford to pay the full price. **

Those with an existing property to sell may be able to part-exchange on a selection of traditional family homes at Garncroft Wynd, in Glenboig, Heather Lea, in Lanark, Middlebank Rise, in Dunfermline or The Potteries, in Prestonpans. You could get an offer within 48 hours, with Redrow effectively acting as a cash buyer.

Part-exchange is also available on selected townhouses at Route 1 West, in Anniesland, close to Glasgow's fashionable West End, and Riverside Point, in Braehead, as well as luxury detached villas in Aberuthven.
