Diggerland Is A Family Day Out Like No Other!

We visited Diggerland Kent in the summer and found it one of the best days out we have had with the children. It was half the price of many other alternative destinations. We got a little muddy, but what can you expect if you drive a JCB in the rain. You do not have to be Action Man or Woman enjoy it and it's not all thrills either. There are some mentally challenging tasks such co-ordinating the controls of a small digger when attempting to pick up buried bricks and similar.

The four adventure parks offer children and adults a chance to take a ride on the wild side and experience first hand use of real JCB's and other construction machines, all under the supervision of our carefully trained instructors.

The first Diggerland opened in the car park of H. E. Service's headquarters on the Medway City Estate during April 2000, after an HE Services customer open day revealed how excited the clients families were at being able to explore the diggers. Such was its popularity that it quickly moved to a larger site in Strood. With the success of the original Diggerland, another three parks followed, Devon and Durham were opened in 2003. The newest park opened at Castleford, Yorkshire in April this year and is set to be the largest Diggerland yet.

There are over 15 rides in each park ranging from the 'Spin Dizzy' where up to eight people can sit in the bucket of a JCB and are lifted to a height of 25 feet and spun around, to the more gentle Mini JCB Challenges. If you prefer to have a look at the view then try the Sky Shuttle which lifts you up to an impressive 50ft and allows you to take in the views of the site and beyond. There's also JCB robot driving where you can test your manoeuvring skills around our course of obstacles, or dig for treasure on our Buried Treasure mission. If you fancy being driven rather than driving, then jump aboard the Diggerland Train or Super Track.

Each park also has a cafe and goodie shop so you can refuel your engines and purchase Diggerland souvenirs to remember your day.

And Diggerland is not just for kids! Diggerland also hosts corporate events. Great for team building, motivation and morale, you can challenge your colleagues to a duel on robot wars or race around the track to see who's got what it takes to be crowned the JCB Master. Grown ups can also enjoy group or individual JCB Experiences, JCB and Dumper Truck Racing.

Diggerland also host many School visits, incorporating education in with the fun. Key stage 2 and 3 students finding it particularly useful research when studying for their science modules.

Diggerland's Kent Park also has a Snow Park with real snow! Open from December to March, the Snow Park gives adventurers the chance to ski, snowboard, sledge, and snow tube or merely have a snowball fight in the play area! Experienced Skiers and Boarders may use the slope for open practice and lessons are available for those who wish to learn or brush up their skills.

The parks are open to the public during weekends, bank holidays and school holidays from 10am -5pm. It is free for under threes, £6.50 for concessions with general admission at just £12.50.
